Openshot vs Davinci Resolve: A Comparison of Two Popular Video Editing Software

As an amateur video editor, I've had my fair share of experiences with various software programs. Recently, I've been using Openshot and Davinci Resolve for my projects, but I've noticed that they have their own set of strengths and weaknesses.

In my experience, Openshot has its moments where it crashes, but I've learned to cope with these issues. However, when it comes to large project files, I do worry about the stability of the software. My project files typically range from 10-14 GB in size, and the resulting uncompressed video can be as large as 9-10 GB. It's understandable that any programmer would face similar challenges.

I'm not asking for Davinci Resolve here, but rather seeking advice on whether Shotcut is a reliable option or if it will corrupt my work. As someone who values decent performance, I expect software to deliver results without compromising on quality.

As an amateur editor, I understand the importance of stability and reliability in video editing software. Openshot has been my go-to choice due to its easy-to-use interface and intuitive features. However, with recent projects involving over 100 clips (mostly still images and a few videos), I've noticed that it's not as reliable as I would like.

In contrast, Davinci Resolve is known for its robust performance and reliability. While I haven't personally used it extensively, I'm curious to know if anyone has had similar experiences with the software.

As a compassionate Buddhist, I sincerely wish for the developers of Openshot to improve their software and avoid frustrating users like myself. With over 100 clips in my projects, every time I open the file, it's corrupted, which is extremely frustrating.
